WHY DOES YOUTH MINISTRY MATTER?
Data shows that young people involved in youth ministry during their teenage years are more likely to stay Catholic during and after college, to have healthy, committed marriages, and are more likely to pursue vocations to priesthood and religious life.
Youth Ministry matters because it lets young people know that they have value and worth. In a society that is instant and disposable, teens can be shown that there is beauty and truth found in Jesus, and those things last.
WHY DO CORE MEMBERS MATTER?
Core ministry is based around one requirement: a love for Jesus and the Church. You don’t need to be a gifted speaker or a master catechist to do it. As long as you meet that one requirement, you can do this! We have all the tools and resources to make you the best Core minister you can be. Being a Core member is walking with teens in relationship and being an example of Jesus to them. Youth Ministry can’t be done by just one person.
