What is Youth Ministry?
We believe that leading young people into real relationship with Jesus is one of the most important works of the Church. We understand how much fights for the attention of our children and teens. Our desire is to present young people with the truth of the Gospel and illustrate the beauty of Christ-centered living.
Youth Ministry is our term for faith-formation that we offer for kids and teens from grades K-12, running September following Labor Day thru the beginning of June. These are experiences for young people to grow in the Catholic faith and become more connected to our parish community. We group kids and teens based on grade levels that best allow them to gather together. Each one of these offerings also has the option for sacramental prep, so kids and teens of any age can be properly formed to receive the sacraments of Baptism, Reconciliation, and Holy Eucharist, regardless of age. We typically begin this process in Grade 2, but this is a decision we empower families to make, and we want to work with you to do what you think is best for your child.
SMC YOUTH [GRADES 6-12]
Our teen youth ministry for grades 6-12. We dive deep into developing a relationship with God, understanding Church teaching, and developing a strong community to support one another as we strive for sainthood. Youth also provides preparation for sacraments for teens, and is a part of our Purpose Confirmation Program.

SMC KIDS [GRADES K-5]
Our kids faith formation program runs September-June, on Sundays. SMC Kids is designed to give students a hands-on experience, develop a love for God’s word, and learn about their Catholic faith. We want them to be “super heroes” for Jesus! We also help kids prepare to receive their sacraments in Kids.

PURPOSE CONFIRMATION [HIGH SCHOOL]
Purpose is a transformative approach to confirmation. Multiple components combine impactful curriculum with a powerful digital tool to enhance communication and ease administrative tasks. Coupled with engaging supplementary material for teens and parents, It is a whole new approach to sacramental preparation.
BLESSED - FIRST COMMUNION
Blessed is our unique approach to preparing kids and families for receiving their First Communion. Using different styles of learning and interactive resources, we make sacrament prep easy and engaging for the whole family.
